The LCWA was established by lake residents in 1938 for the purposes of enhancing the community and fellowship of Lake Carey residents. The LCWA advocates on behalf of current members and future generations to government entities that are responsible for the water quality, fishery, and boating safety of this public recreational natural resource.

Annual Dues help pay for and include:
- Annual state mandated dam registration, inspection and state reporting, and grounds maintenance around the dam ($3,300)
- Educational programs, water quality testing
- Developing grants to fight invasive weeds and lake quality issues
- Subscription to the tri-annual newsletter
- Free use of the picnic pavilion at the dam site
- Vote at association meetings
- The wonderful feeling you get knowing you are contributing to your community
Annual dues are $50 and may be paid by check to Lake Carey Welfare Association, PO Box 637, Tunkhannock, PA 18657 or by credit card. To pay by credit card, click on the "INITIAL DUES" button to the right. A $3.00 service fee will be added when paying by credit card.
