Lake Carey Day is open to the public and all proceeds from this event will go towards the dam replacement project. |

Join us for the Lake Carey Community Garage Sale Fundraiser on Saturday, May 23, and Sunday, May 24, 2026, from 8:00am to 3:00pm at 12 Indian Spring Road. All proceeds support water quality initiatives.
We are collecting gently used, clean, and sellable items. Please consider items you would feel comfortable purchasing at a garage sale yourself. Acceptable donations include household goods in working condition, clothing free of rips or stains, complete sets of books, games, and toys, small furniture, tools, garden supplies, and sporting equipment. Please refrain from donating broken, heavily used, stained, or torn items, large furniture, outdated electronics, hazardous materials, or personal care products. Donations can be dropped off or arranged for pickup by calling Barb Scanlon at 570-575-2918. |

Lake Carey Trash Dash – April 18 (Rain date April 25)
Meet on Indian Spring Road between 8:30–8:45am. Coffee, zucchini bread, quick assignments, and we’ll head out by 9:00am. We’ll divide up sections of roadway around the lake and take care of the little things that accumulate over winter- mostly cans, bottles, and cigarette butts. Trash bags will be available. Gloves are helpful if you have them. With Earth Day just around the corner, it’s a good excuse to give the lake roads a quick spring cleanup! |

Lake Carey Day - Admiral Stark Memorial 5K Run/Walk and Frank J Valvano Memorial 10K Run - This race is held at beautiful Lake Carey! Help us kick off Lake Carey Day with a 5k run/walk and a 10k run. You will enjoy the beautiful lake views as you run - all while benefiting Lake Carey! Race day registration also available but t-shirts not guaranteed. Medals awarded in seven age groups and the top male and female finishers in each race. A special Frank Valvano Award given to the first 200 lb + participant in the 10k or 5k if no other qualifiers.
Both courses are wheel measured and accurate. |
